This is a recommended book from Warrior Sciences University.
Most survival books only talk about wilderness survival and bushcraft or primitive survival skills. While these things are important and definitely skills a true survivalist or preparedness minded person should learn, we have modern tools and implements we can use to make survival easier and more efficient. This book talks about the positive points and resources you have in the urban environment that could aid you, opposed to the normal rhetoric that if you are in an urban area that they need to “move to the county” in order to survive in a grid down or worst case scenario. There are pros and cons to both wilderness and urban survival. The essential concepts are the same, but the varying environments offer their own sets of difficulties as well as strengths and good points. Learn both and walk with balanced knowledge because should the worst happen, you never know what environment you may be in or wind up in. Great points are made about survival in an urban environment and the makeshift resources you would have there, if staying there or being stuck there. Not everyone can run into the woods, nor should everyone if not properly equipped or training in the skills needed. This offers new and fresh perspective, and is a great read for any survivalist or preparedness minded person.
Improvise, survive and thrive.
Walk in peace but be prepared for battle !
