Do not bear false attitudes. False attitudes work best where there are no real enemies. In real situations they can get you killed very quickly. The true warrior does not go around telling everyone that he is a great warrior. He permits his actions to govern others responses. My idea of attitude is based on the principle of the true Way, which is to not allow it to be perceived by the enemy. Blatant attitudes such as fancy armor, engraved battle array and the like are an attempt to throw the enemy off balance. Yet these things only impress the untrained or the irresolute. The warriors attitude is that of taking the lead in a fight and winning with resolve. You must understand this basic lesson. It is important to perceive the enemies attitudes, regardless of whether you deem him to be correct or incorrect in having them.
– Miyamoto Musashi , The Book Of Five Rings
It is stupid to try and beat his attitude with your attitude.
– Miyamoto Musashi , The Book Of Five Rings
It is required of the warrior that in order to follow the true Way he be aware of all possible conditions prior to the actual battle taking place ; in this way he may not even have to do battle because of his superior intelligence based on perception and intuition. It is possible to win a fight without ever having to go into combat. You must understand this.
– Miyamoto Musashi , The Book Of Five Rings
When you go into the attack and are committed to destroying the enemy , you do not have to worry about being cut in return, and therefore you won’t be. The “spirit of the thing it’s self” is what carries you through to the successful resolution of a fight. When you are returning the attack to the enemy after he has attacked you, you are permitting your rhythm and timing to be controlled by him. Regardless of how well you fight, you are on the defensive in this scenario. You should strive to neither be defensive or offensive. These ideas can force the mind to stop in its flow of consciousness and get you killed when you are in a fight. I strongly urge you to understand this part of my strategy if you are on the path of the warrior.
– Miyamoto Musashi , The Book Of Five Rings
Any would-be aggressor that would fashion you as their enemy does so for a reason. It may be obvious or not so obvious, but they have particular intent in their actions. You being a true warrior fear no individual not nothing they may say or do because you know you possess the mental and physical skills and abilities to do battle with any enemy, and more importantly have experience in dealing with such enemies’. Rather than seeing them as a threat or challenge, the true warrior sees them more as a pathetic nuisance. Like a fly bothering them on a hot summer day. The enemy is always a bully first and foremost, and will use their numbers to appear impressive. They will be loud and aggressive and strive to intimidate your spirit, bending your will to theirs out of fear. The true warrior finds this laughable and takes true threats seriously but does not find it necessary to be bothered with dealing with would-be challengers. The true warriors is calm, reserved and emotionless in the face of anyone or anything in their path. They are physically and mentally ready to do whatever it takes to deal with what lies before them. The true warrior does not know what it means to fear another individual or to be intimidated. The warrior is thus reserved and confident because they spend their whole lives training and that brings about understandings that their enemies could never interpret. While the enemy tries tricks, and ploys and all manner of tactics the warriors stays calm and holds firm, watching the enemy act like a court jester and make an ass of themselves. If necessary or the time comes, they warrior strikes so soundly like lightning, moves with the force of thunder, shakes the ground like an earthquake and crashes like a hurricane, sucking the enemy up like a tornado and scattering them about like rag dolls.

The warrior, being in control of themselves, does not feel the need to react to every word or action by the enemy, as said, they let the enemy make all the action, making themselves look like the proverbial ass. Furthermore into this, the warrior only lets out information or knowledge of themselves that they wish others to know, and thusly, those whom would attack the warrior non physically only have what the warrior gives them, leading back to the enemy looking like our barnyard friend the ass. When the enemy strives to make any form of battle plan to attack the warrior, the warrior knows what information the enemy has because he laid it out for the enemy to acquire. The enemy’s plans fail before they even begin. Those whom know of the ancient skills of arts like Ninjitsu and others can understand this, but too much has been said already.

The true warrior does not train to be unstoppable, for it is not possible. The true warrior trains to be indomitable which is a very tangible thing. They train in all skills physically and mentally and train not to make themselves “unbeatable” but to make themselves “very hard to beat” per se. Many warriors train in many different skills, some are very good at some and lack at others, some are average across the broad stroke of abilities. For those of Hacomtaewresdo, the “Way of the ultimate warrior” we have discovered the pinpoint of balance in all skills and mastery of all ranges inclusive of the physical and non physical. The warrior whom knows they are a true warrior and knows what a true warrior is………is a truly formidable individual.
– The Universal Belief & Warrior Philosophy System
The true warrior does not fear battle, be it physical or non physical. They are seasoned veterans of battle on every plane, hence they hold no fear and when they act, it with with total commitment and precision. They have built and forged their mental, physical, and spiritual beyond that of average, and in matters of speaking, nothing about the true warrior is average which makes them indomitable. The true warrior walks in peace but is prepared for battle. They never initiate battle with others for any reason, but when accosted they will defend with emotional content. Once the decision is made by the true warrior to battle, they commit to that action until the threat is neutralized. That is apart of the warrior’s mentality or mindset, but only a very small aspect of a very large and complex thing.
